The Toronto Argonauts signed former Denver Broncos linebacker Shane Ray on Saturday.
The Argos also re-signed defensive back Robert Woodson and running back Asnnel Robo.
The 27-year-old Ray was the 23rd overall pick by Denver in the 2015 NFL draft and played 14 games that season, finishing with 20 tackles and four sacks. He had two tackles and a forced fumble in the Broncos’ Super Bowl victory.

The six-foot-three, 245-pound Ray played 35 games over the next three seasons, registering 72 tackles, 10 sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and a defensive touchdown. The Kansas City native was signed by Baltimore in 2019 but released two months later.
Woodson played 15 games for the Argos in 2019, making 24 defensive tackles, seven special teams tackles and two forced fumbles. The 5-10, 191-pound University of Calgary product was a fourth-round draft pick by Toronto in 2017 and has played 41 career games, racking up 40 defensive tackles and 23 special teams tackles.
The 27-year-old Robo, a native of French Guiana, was the third overall pick by Montreal in the inaugural CFL global draft in 2019. The University of Montreal product rushed for 19 yards and caught one pass for 10 yards in two pre-season games before being released.
